SPECTA SHOW 2022 : A Journey to Find the Meaning of Happiness

On March 26th 2022, Al Azhar Cairo Islamic Elementary School of Banda Aceh held annual Specta Show to celebrate the diversity of students achievement under various tittle, such as: Most Artistic, Most Discipline and Most Charitable. All students were awarded while also giving their best performances to portray the happiness of being children with bright mind and cheerful environment. 

The school believes that it is crucial to provide memorable experiences, so students can collect many colorful memories as they enjoy their youth together with friends. “Everyday, we encourage the pupils to follow sunnah Rasulullah S.A.W, to value disciplinary, to help one another, to be responsible andto have courage for doing only good deeds. It is being accomplished under a program namely “pembiasaan baik” or “habitual act of kindness” said Imam Akbar Muttaqien MBA, head of Al Azhar Foundation Aceh. 

This has become a barometer to asses their daily achievement in non -academic area, later to be awarded at Specta Show. “Approximately 372 students were participated in this project from grade 1 to 3, the idea was to give every student the same chance to perform. 

We started on January, it was two months of preparation including run through and final rehearsal, we mainly separated the show in four parts; Opening Act, Main Show, Awarding and Flash mobs for the closing” explained by the show PIC, Muallimah Nissa. Later she added, “it was a bit challenging to prepare it at first, my team worked really hard to make it happen, it definitely wasn’t easy for the kids as well. However, in the end they all made us parents and teachers proud. 

I heard that my fellow team mate recalled the moment from backstage when the students told them how they felt nervous and their hands were all freezing. That story made my day, because this is all about giving the actual experience for them, like how to build confidence and show their best especially when there were many people watching”. From the parents perspective this event has been successfully arranged, “the atmosphere during the show was remarkable” said Danendra Arka’s mom, Ali bin Abi Thalib class. There were many positive comments online as parents shared pictures and videos on social media platforms. Bunda Zayed from grade 1 Abu Bakar class wrote on her WhatsApp story “The show was awesome, congratulations for all the teachers and students”.
